Info Lives on the Card; the Panel's β Becomes Search
Owner ruling 2026-10-09 β the side panel's About (β) view is retired everywhere. Workspace, Project and Library cards already show name, guide, tags and people when expanded. A Block or Module on the document gets About on its menu, which opens it in place as its Goldie card: top line, the clause then the guide in the panel, the title bottom left, people bottom right. Blocks show their tags. The panel header's β becomes π Search, opening the Add view.
In plain terms: a file's cover note is read on the file itself, not in a side drawer. The side panel is Goldie's, and its one button finds things to add.
Decision
Owner ruling, 2026-10-09.
- No About view in the panel. The β toggle and the
FolioAboutPanelface it opens are retired on every screen. - List cards already carry it. A Workspace, Project or Library card shows
name, guide, tags and people when expanded (
/docs/decisions/goldie-card); the panel only repeated them. - A Block or Module opens as its card. Its menu gains About (first row; named About over "Info" by the owner, 2026-10-09). About opens the block in place as the expandable Goldie card, the same card a search result shows: icon and kind on the top line; the panel with the clause on white, then the guide (a Module has no clause, so its guide leads); the title at the bottom left; people at the bottom right. Pressing the card, or its chevron, folds it back into wording on the page.
- A Block shows its tags as every card does (owner, 2026-10-09, reversing the same day's option A): the tags row reads the block's classification labels. The guide changes by asking Goldie; a proposal redlines in place with the card's cross and tick, as on a Project card.
- The panel header's β becomes π Search, opening the Add view of
/docs/decisions/add-in-the-goldie-panel. Pressed again, or Back to Goldie, returns to the conversation.

Panel header: PROJECT [π]
Cooking Up an AgreementAlternatives refused
- A β― menu in the panel header (Goldie, Search, Info): with Info gone, one icon is enough.
- A guide band above the clause, the title on top: the card's title sits bottom left on every card; a block keeps that shape.
Consequences
- Until a Block or Module card shows its guide, the panel's About is the only place to read one (block-card.tsx "Shown only" there): retire the panel view only once About on the card lands on the document screen.

Why each working-document block owns a separate reactive Goldie conversation
A Question Is Done When It Is Answered or Skipped
Why skipped is a boolean on the field rather than a status on the block, why it is refused on a required field, and why not-applicable is a separate question answered by logic
